You can expect to enjoy great Big Five sightings in Madikwe, a vast semi-arid game reserve with a remote location on the Botswana border 300km northwest of Johannesburg. This exclusive safari destination can only be explored on guided game drives in open-sided 4x4s. Lion, elephant, white rhino, giraffe and a varied array of antelope are almost certain to be seen over the course of a Madikwe safari. It is also home to black rhino, buffalo, African wild dog, leopard and cheetah. Malaria is totally absent.
You'll love the warm light and cooler temperatures as we take you out to explore on your evening game drive. This time of day is when both predators and prey are most active and it can feel as though anything could happen at any moment. This is when you'll most enjoy being on safari.
